The Japanese boy detective Chiryoku On takes on the famed and sophisticated French master thief Arsène Robin, in an early manga riff on Maurice Leblanc's classic novels.

Nanatsu no Kao was originally written as Arsène Gent, to be published by Enomoto Bunko. However, Hinomaru Bunko agreed it publish it before Enomoto would, but with a title taken from the Bannai Tarao film series that has little to do with the content of the manga, in an attempt to drive sales to book rental services.
