Ichika has always been someone who gives in to social pressures, doing things she would never do of her own volition simply to please others. She is the exact opposite of Kon "Doc" Uchida, her brainiac childhood friend who does what he wants without a care in the world. Every day after school, Ichika meets up with Doc to stargaze and listen to him ramble about space. When Ichika's friends try to set her up with an older boy, she becomes conflicted about her feelings and confides in Doc about it, who only ends up ignoring her.
