Following the release of the 44th issue of Shounen Magazine (Weekly) in October 2013, Ahiru no Sora went on an indefinite hiatus due to manga author Takeshi Hinata's poor health. The series resumed after five months in the 15th issue of Shounen Magazine (Weekly) in March 2014. The manga entered another indefinite hiatus in May 2019.
