Rushiha, a schoolgirl, is attacked out of the blue by a robot. Another humanoid robot, calling himself Faust, appears and saves her. As more of these robots hunt down Rushiha, Faust protects her, and they both try to find the source of the robots.

Denjin Faust was first published in English as Metal Guardian Faust in the monthly VIZ Manga Heroes magazine from March 1997 to October 1997, for a total of eight issues. VIZ Media later collected the eight chapters in a single volume, published July 6, 1998.
