Thirteen-year-old Ai Kiyomiya has always been told to act normal in order to receive love and affection from her callous mother. However, this simple task is a tall order for Ai when a person suddenly falls from the sky and gets run over by a truck in front of her eyes. Ai tries to calm herself down, but the mysterious arrival pleads her not to call the "humans" as she heals herself. The being calls herself "Nike" and is part of an intergalactic species known as "Entity A"—often labeled as one of humanity's worst natural predators. Unwilling to turn in Nike for execution, Ai hides her in an abandoned factory but finds that Nike would rather spend time with her than anything else.
