Mitsubachi no Bouken was originally published as a one-shot in the February 1954 issue of Manga Shounen, and published in volume form by Meichokan Kyoukai on August 28, 1981. It was also included in the Matsumoto Leiji Mihappyou/Shoki Sakuhinshuu box set published by Shogakukan Creative in 2014. The series was published in Italian by Associazione Culturale Leiji Matsumoto on January 28, 2017, and in French by Association Culturelle Leiji Matsumoto on July 5, 2018.
