Manga de Yomu Jinsei ga Tokimeku Katazuke no Mahou is based on Marie Kondo's 2010 book Jinsei ga Tokimeku Katazuke no Mahou. Kondo subsequently created a Netflix series named Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program in 2019. The manga was published in English as The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up: A Magical Story by Ten Speed Press on June 27, 2017. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by Agir on November 27, 2019.
