Yakusoku no Neverland ranked first in the 2018 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division. It won the 63rd Shougakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category. In 2017, the manga was nominated for the 11th Manga Taisho Award and placed 11th in the final ranking. As a part of the JUMP START initiative, the first three chapters of the series were published in English as The Promised Neverland in VIZ Media's digital Weekly Shonen Jump on the same day as the Japanese release. After, the series was added to VIZ Media's Weekly Shonen Jump lineup and it was simulpub through MANGA Plus. The volumes were published by VIZ Media from December 5, 2017, to August 3, 2021. The series was also released in Polish by Waneko; in Spanish by Norma Editorial; in Portuguese by Devir; in Brazilian Portuguese by Panini Comics; and in Czech by Crew.
