Hayama Shirakumo (白雲ハヤマ, Shirakumo Hayama) is a jōnin of Konohagakure that protected its borders after the Invasion of Konoha. Hayama has long dull purple hair held in a ponytail. He also has a scar running down the right side of his mouth. He wears the standard Konoha shinobi outfit, albeit his uniform has short sleeves. He also wears a pair of fingerless gloves and carries a thin katana strapped horizontally to his back. Hayama is very adept at Kenjutsu. With his sword he can use the Vacuum Sword technique which was able to fend off many Iwagakure ninja as well as weapons. He is assigned to patrol the northern borders along with Tekuno, Naruto Uzumaki, and Kosuke Maruboshi after the Invasion of Konoha. Not long after they were ambushed by a battalion of ninja from Iwagakure. Hayama stayed behind to allow the other members of the squad time to escape and report to the village. He summoned a crossbow with explosive tags attached to the projectiles and along with Tekuno wiped out the majority of the ninja. Together the team was able to wipe out dozens of Iwa ninja. He is seen alongside his fellow village ninja aiding in the restoration of the village after Pain's invasion.
