Shino was the wife of Ray Lundgren and the creator of the powerful armor Volkain. She was murdered by The Claw prior to the events of the story, though her presence lingers through her creation. It is implied—though never confirmed—that Shino may have knowingly or unknowingly contributed to The Claw's ambitions, as he later tells Ray that Volkain was designed to support one of his many projects.
