Van's wife to be, who was murdered by The Claw. An armor specialist, Helena first met Van when he was brought in to be a test pilot for Dann. She immediately sees through his angry, tough guy persona as being a defense mechanism to avoid getting too close to people, and the two become romantically involved soon after. On the day of her wedding, she and Van are critically wounded by The Claw for unknown reasons. It is implied from Gadaved (the only person around to help them) that he only has time to save one of them. Helena quickly begs Gadaved to put Van through reconstruction to save his life, saying that as Van's wife, she wants him to live and help him in whatever he chooses to do.
