Mariela

A talented young alchemist now living in the Labyrinth City, in the Kingdom of Endalsia. During the Stampede, Mariela hid herself away and placed her body into suspended animation, intending only to bypass the calamitous event. A clumsy mistake, however, led to her deep slumber lasting for 200 years. After waking, she quickly aquaints herself with the Black Iron Freight Corps and later purchases a slave named Siegmund, of which they later become titular companions. Mariela is a ditzy and clumsy girl, often unable to read the room and topics such as romance fly right over her head. However, her kindhearted and caring nature leaves an unforgettable impression on whoever she meets and the connections sowed from this lead her to find solace in the Labyrinth City. As the last surviving Alchemist Pact-Bearer in the kingdom, Mariela puts her unique abilities to use, changing the troubled Labyrinth City in unpredictable ways, as an unfathomable disaster looms.
