Junya first meets Kyouichi when he offers a crying Junya his handkerchief, and still keeps the handkerchief as a reminder of that moment. He used to sleep with Kanako, his former roommate, until she got married to someone else. After Kyouichi's father marries Junya's mother, Kyouchi's moving in with him causes Junya to be conflicted between his attraction towards Kyouichi and his lingering feelings for Kanako.
