Chair of the Seishū High School board and Hiroko Ōkubo's grandfather. He is a regular customer at Akaishi's father's sake store. He has a very stubborn personality and always keeps his promises. As board chair, he is a little worn out from worrying about Vice Principal Shidō (the temporary principal), though he does not let that show in public. During the first practice game between the first-string and prefab teams, he sneaks in the game with Aoba.
