Roze is the deuteragonist of the "Sky Striker" story. She is based on the card "Sky Striker Ace - Roze" from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game and Trading Card game. In the manga, as Raye's Sky Striker equipment vastly outclasses AI in combat but can only be used by a human operator, Roze was genetically engineered by the robotic "Pillars of Spectra" sorely to go toe-to-toe with her by using the same technology. However, as she starts developing a personality of her own, the Pillars plot to replace her with her clones Azalea and Camellia; Roze initially reacts by competing with them and redoubling her efforts to kill Raye, but eventually ends up siding with her. In the anime, she is a normal girl raised like a weapon and used as one of the few human soldiers in the conflict itself, which is fought almost entirely with drones.
