Yuu is a cheerful young girl who loves the Rebirth card game. She has short pink hair with a bun on her left side, and purple eyes. She is extremely close with her best and childhood friend Kei Todo, who is attending the faraway Saint Panda Academy. Despite the long distance, Yuu maintains her friendship with Kei through constant text messaging, playing Rebirth over video calls, and sending each other packages via Shuuko's pet flying squirrel. She is close friends and Rebirth teammates with Chiharu Wakamiya and Shuuko Mino.
